WELCOME TO ARTFEST 2024

ArtFest is a celebration of the creative talent individuals or studios possess for the art, gaming and animation sectors. The goal of this event is to inspire and kickstart the developmental process for new stories through art.

CHOOSE YOUR CHALLENGE CATEGORY

ENVIRONMENTAL CONCEPT ART & DESIGN

Design a space or scene from an upcoming or developed game title.

FUTURE AFRICA

Visually merge the past city developments with your future predictions on how African cities could change and influence storytelling culture. The use of maps or the abstract are accepted.

CHARACTER ART

Draw and render your desired character in 3D using still and action positions. Submit a set of 3 action positions and one still position.

AUTOMOTIVE

Design and render a futuristic automotive concept. This include cars, bikes or whatever comes to your mind or build the future of in car entertainment applications using 5G, Nvidia AI or any Google Service.

AUDIO CLIPS

What is that sound locked away in your thoughts for African themed concept games or any game. This category welcomes paired applications with concept storyboards or anime & manga reels. All submissions for this category should be 3 mins long.

WORLD BUILDING

Using fantasy and design, build new worlds and stories behind them. Share the world narratives with us.

MATERIAL DESIGN

Build custom design materials from fabrics, metals or whatever you think is absent in the game development space and get featured.

STORYBOARDS

Use your creative talent to develop your next storyboard. Featured projects could receive funding for commercial development.

ANIME & MANGA

Create your desired comic art and share with us. You never know who is watching.

MOTION DESIGN

Create a 3 -5 sec motion reel and impress us with your creation and eiting skills.

PRINTS

Visually inspire and stun us with your creative art designs. Accepted art could feature as merchandise.

GENERATIVE AI

Create any of the above art category using generative AI tools. This is the only category for generative AI.

CREATURE ART

From design to construction, show us your skills in building creatures for film.

CHILDREN ART

Design and render new characters for children animated content.
